See the desert sunset from the back of a camel and sleep in a Haima in the middle of the Dunes. This Marrakech to Zagora travel plan is purposefully taking you to a quick face-to-face with the ridge of the High Atlas and a breathtaking visit to the Kasbah Ait Ben Hadou.

Planning

DAY 1

Marrakech - Ait Ben Hadou - Ouarzazate - Draa Valley - Zagora - Camel Ride

The tour starts at 7:15 am. The driver will pick you up at the hostel.

Moroccan Berber villages will be multiplying as you go further in the journey to Ouarzazate where you will visit the Kasbah of Ait Ben Hadou and the gates of the Cinematographic Monument.

You will be able to choose between different places for lunch in Ouarzazate but it is recommendable to bring a snack with you. During our journey to Zagoura we will also stop at the Draa Valley.

We will arrive in Zagora through the crooked arterial and the highest road in North Africa, of Tizi n'Tichka but the best of the trip is still waiting for you. The camel ride in the Zagoura Desert while waiving the sun goodbye will be an unforgettable experience.

A Moroccan diner will be ready after the camel ride with some live music to celebrate the experience with the locals.

DAY 2

Zagora - Agdez - High Atlas - Tizi-n’Tichka -Marrakech

Stay in bed until late or be an early bird to see the amazing desert sunrise and enjoy the second camel trek of this trip. After stopping in Agdez and Ouarzazate for a little break, you will find yourself back in Marrakech in no time around 8 pm.

  • Having a close look to the Taourirt Kasbah and the Atlas studios once in Ouarzazate where some of the scenes of your favorite movies have been filmed.
